trees of tuition

During the holiday season, purchasing a Christmas tree is a time-honored tradition for millions of families worldwide.

By selling Christmas trees, Trees for Tuition provides tuition assistance and winter break jobs to struggling students in Atlanta.

They’re helping families get ready for Christmas as well as contributing to the success of students in their community.

This is commitment work celebrating in the Little Five Points area.

All About Trees for Tuitions

Our Journey

Trees for Tuition began as a humble Christmas tree delivery service, conceived by Grady Sophomores Calder Johnson and Jack Faught in 2015.

The unique venture sprouted from the back of Calder’s pickup truck, serving as a means to prepare for their impending college expenses.

The inception of Trees for Tuition was not merely about covering tuition fees.

The vision was broader – to manage the overlooked aspects of college life – rent, food, gas, and, of course, fun!

As the seasons passed, the business blossomed, and our vision expanded.

The Growth and Impact

Before long, Trees for Tuition was in the unique position of providing high-paying winter jobs for other Atlanta students, helping them save for their college expenses.

With success came expansion – they moved out of the back of a pickup truck to a physical location, developed an online Christmas tree shop, and began supporting the Achieve Atlanta Scholarship.

Their commitment to the environment saw us planting ‘forever trees’ across the world for every Christmas tree we sold.

Looking Ahead

Having been friends since the first grade and roommates in college, Jack and Calder have shared many milestones together.

This bond strengthened as they navigated the challenges of running a business while juggling final exams.

The duo chose to take Trees for Tuition full time after graduating in 2021.

That same year marked another significant milestone for Trees for Tuition – the launch of their very own scholarship fund.

They successfully awarded six Atlanta students with $2,000 each to support their higher education.

They continue to grow, learn, and dream big for the future.

Trees for Tuition offers Atlanta more than just trees – but the opportunity to become part of a vibrant, benevolent community.

Gotta Comment on Young Ingenuity!

Great success begins with an idea and the boldness to give it a shot.

Trees for Tuition is a testament to the power of young minds and their ability to create an impact in their community.

What started as a simple means to cover tuition expenses has now turned into something much more significant – providing opportunities for other students, supporting sustainability efforts, and giving back to the community through our scholarship program.

We are proud of what they have accomplished so far, and give these guys a pat on the back for having the guts to start something new.

This is what business, advertising, and marketing is all about.
